“MAX-I-MIZE – To Make as Large or as Great As Possible!”
Serving young adults, ages 20’s – 30’s, degreed or in degree pursuit, needing assistance with overcoming social cognitive barriers, connecting with peers, and achieving self-sufficiency, while pursuing employment and career opportunities. Participants receive support in strengthening communication skills, emotional awareness and self-regulation, empathy, friendship traits, and character flexibility.
Career MAX – Participants receive ongoing support from an Interpersonal Career Coach, and if eligible, work with a Career Strategist at Jewish Family Services.
Career MAX participants receive support in the following areas:
- Degree/certificate completion
- Work readiness
- Volunteer Opportunities
- Strategic Job Search assistance
- Securing /maintaining employment
- Professional Development
- Career Advancement
Finance MAX – Participants receive the fundamental knowledge to build and maintain a personal budget. Participants gain the knowledge to best manage the money they earn!
Wellness MAX – Participants develop habits that lead to optimal personal wellness. Research suggests 90% of what makes an individual employable is related to interpersonal skills. Our holistic approach to professional development includes hosting weekly events such as:
- Weight lifting
Social MAX – Participants nurture friendships while learning to think socially. Weekly meetups offer opportunities to play a game, enjoy a picnic, or chat over a cup of coffee.
Virtual MAX – Participants interact with their Interpersonal Career Coach, and their peers, by utilizing Social Media, iOS and Smart Technologies.
