DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING

The Director of Accounting will join our executive leadership team and oversee all financial functions including accounting, billing, reconciling, budget development/tracking and financial operations. The position offers a hybrid schedule, combining both remote and in-office work.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

Jewish Family Services works with jobseekers at all levels and helps local companies discover, hire and retain top talent ‚Äď saving them time and money in the process. This role is a new position reporting to the Director of Business Services and Director of Development. The Business Development Consultant will support the growth of fee-based services to our employer customers and our business membership model. As a connector between workforce development services, business services, and corporate philanthropy, the Business Development Consultant will serve as a critical point of contact, resource, and consultant for Central Ohio companies.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position; pay is commensurate with experience.

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; high level of demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time-management skills; demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outlook, Zoom and Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with Central Ohio‚Äôs economic development, employment market, and community partners
  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage trusted relationships with business customers and economic development professionals
  • Manage initial inbound employer contact and sets up on-site tours for business services and/or career staff
  • Promote business customer job openings to workforce development staff
  • Promote and sell business memberships
  • Contribute content to agency newsletter, addressing business community
  • Attend community networking, chamber, and small business events to keep a pulse on economic growth and promote agency services
  • Update and maintain employer database in Salesforce
  • Assist in preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials

CAREER CONSULTANT

Jewish Family Services is seeking to hire a career consultant to be a member of a cross-functional team assisting individuals in our training programs to obtain employment by utilizing a holistic approach including: job search assistance, soft-skill building, and access to resources in order to assist individuals in strengthening their identities and increasing long-term career earnings, stability, and ability to support their families.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide individual coaching related to vocational exploration, goal setting, problem-solving and addressing barriers to employment
  • Model and teach clients to be current, connected, communicative, and consistent (technology, social media, community resources)
  • Provide classroom instruction to participants in computer literacy, job search techniques, life skills, money management, job retention strategies, pre-vocational/career transition opportunities as needed
  • Conduct group participation activities to build self-esteem, enhance motivation to complete training, and improve communication skills
  • Recruit participants from community relationships and develop new referral pipelines.
  • Provide retention coaching for participants with new employment ‚Äď barrier removal, cultural competencies, and employer mediation
  • Identify clients‚Äô social service needs and provide guidance to community resources
  • Maintain current knowledge about resume writing and ability to create professional-looking documents
  • Work with career services team members to develop and coordinate targeted hiring events, networking meet ups
  • Conduct needs assessments through formal and informal evaluation
  • Actively engage in a team environment to achieve programmatic goals
  • Track client progress documentation through BestNotes, a case management system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related Bachelor‚Äôs degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience
  • Related work experience
  • Preferred background in workforce development
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain thorough documentation
  • Demonstrated customer service, facilitation, and personal coaching skills
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, social service partners and other community resources available to clients

SERVICE NAVIGATOR

SERVICE NAVIGATOR 

 The Service Navigator will serve as the first point of contact for individuals and families connecting with Jewish Family Services for assistance. They will ensure potential clients feel welcomed, empowered, and connected while linking them to internal and external programs and service areas. This role will initially report to both the Chief Program Officer- Community and Chief Program Officer- Workforce to best position their impact across all service areas.

  • Prior experience with case management systems and/or data collection
  • Minimum Associate‚Äôs Degree or equivalent work experience in human services or related field

  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time-management skills; demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities at once

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure client confidentiality
  • Manage new intakes through Wayfynder, follow ups, and referrals to program areas
  • Support intakes for Project EM, a national job initiative with NJHSA partner agencies
  • Conduct phone screenings and provide referrals to both internal and external programs and resources, in real time, for those inquiring about services
  • Assist in onboarding and/or training staff on Wayfynder and case management tools
  • Participate regularly in interdisciplinary team case reviews
  • Remain current on agency programs and eligibility
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials tracking client trends, needs, and referrals to community partners
