You’re taking a time-out from your job search to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. Gathering with family and friends for a meal, a game, and a relaxing day sounds nice. Or does is sound fraught? Are you dreading the questions, “How are you?” or “What do you do for a living?” Don’t get your guard up. You’re secure and confident in your journey and you have answers prepared. 
 
In a movie scene, you might say something snappy with an edge that leaves the listener both ashamed for asking and wanting to get to know you. In real life, you have better options such as A. Job Seeking is my full-time job . B. I do not want to discuss. C. I am currently in a career transition. Exciting and a bit nerve wracking. We will discuss various responses and how to manage our feelings/emotions.
