Acquiring Digital Skills

Beryl’s story

When Beryl’s homecare job ended, she discovered that the industry had left her behind. Finding employment now required a digital presence. Jewish Family Services career consultant, Tim, helped Beryl improve her digital skills, learn tech-oriented job search strategies, and create an online profile on virtual platforms for independent homecare providers.

Once Beryl entered the digital world, she quickly found a new caregiver position. Beryl also benefitted from a variety of wrap-around supports, including assistance accessing meal deliveries and grief support when her mother died.
