Family Stabilization Services

Helping individuals and families achieve emotional stability

Personalized Services

Life’s challenges can be complex — you don’t have to face them alone. The Family Stabilization team at Jewish Family Services works with individuals and families to understand their unique situations, identify needs, and connect them with the right resources. Through compassionate, one-on-one support, our navigators help clients problem-solve, set goals, and access community programs, financial assistance, and other supports. Every plan is personalized, ensuring you get the guidance and referrals that best fit your path forward.

Service Navigation

Not sure where to start? Service Navigation serves as the entry point to Jewish Family Services – helping individuals and families determine which JFS programs best meet their needs and connecting them with partner organizations when additional support is needed.

Housing Support

Jewish Family Services is a proud partner of the Resilient Housing Initiative, which helps individuals and families explore housing options and prevent homelessness. Our Case Managers work with participants to problem-solve housing challenges and connect them with community resources.

JFS does not have general rent or utility assistance at this time.

To see if you are eligible, please contact the Homeless Hotline at 614‑278-0080 for screening and referral.

Rebuilding a Future

Featuring Jane

Jane moved to Columbus following a difficult divorce with plans to start fresh. Not long after relocating – and before she had built her network – Jane lost her new job due to COVID-19. She began to worry she would lose her housing, too, and end up homeless in an unfamiliar city. Jane was in crisis.

At Jewish Family Services we helped her develop a plan of action. We provided financial assistance for rent and utilities and a career consultant helped with job search support, resume review and interview coaching.

Before long, Jane landed a position with Chase Bank paying $20/hour. Now she is doing great and has completed her 90-day probationary period.
