Staff Spotlight: Honoring Leadership Excellence and the Power of Belonging

At Jewish Family Services, we know that our impact in the community is only as strong as the leaders within our walls. Today, we are thrilled to celebrate two of our own who have reached a significant milestone in their professional journeys. Please join us in congratulating Rhoda Kankam, Manager of Workforce Development, and Cortney Jackson, OWF Program Manager, for successfully completing the prestigious six-month ThriveIn Leadership Program.

Leading with Purpose

Over the last half-year, Rhoda and Cortney have dedicated themselves to continuous learning, honing their skills to lead with greater purpose and vision. This achievement reflects their commitment to growth and to the quality of service they provide to our neighbors in Columbus every day.

Rhoda shared a powerful reflection on what this experience meant to her:

“ThriveIn didn’t just teach me how to lead; it taught me how to belong. I’ve learned that I don’t just occupy a seat at the table; I bring value to it, and I carry that realization with pride.” — Rhoda Kankam

A Space for Growth

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Chevonne Harris, the visionary founder of ThriveIn. What Harris has created is a great asset for our community: a space where leaders can grow, be seen, and step fully into their power.
