As families gather to celebrate Passover, we retell the story of the Jewish people’s escape from slavery and are reminded of our collective strength and resilience. As we eat matzah, symbolizing both affliction and freedom, we say: This is the bread of affliction, which our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt. Let all who are hungry come and eat. Let all who are in want share the hope of Passover.

At Jewish Family Services, we have the privilege of helping those in the Jewish community face life’s challenges. We are also privileged to help families across Central Ohio who are from all different backgrounds. Through this work, we “let all who are in want share the hope of Passover” as we shine a light on Jewish values, build bridges, and diffuse antisemitism.
