Standing Against Hate

Last weekend’s neo-Nazi march in Columbus’s Short North neighborhood was yet another example of hateful rhetoric and actions designed to incite fear and division. Jewish Family Services stands firmly against such hate.

We stand alongside our staff, board, partners, and the broad and diverse communities we serve, including Holocaust Survivors, the Jewish community, members of other faith communities, immigrants and refugees, the LGBTQ+ and trans communities, women, and people of color.

Recognizing our common humanity, we recall the words of Rabbi Hillel (1st Century BCE):

If I am not for myself, who will be for me?

But if I am only for myself, what am I?

If not now, when?
